Introducing Origin Asset Management
Origin Asset Management LLP is an independent partnership established in November 2004 by a team of five investment managers with over 80 years combined experience.
Origin opened for business in May 2005. We manage UK, global and EAFE equity portfolios for institutional investors and offer both index relative and unconstrained approaches.
Our five senior partners - Chris Carter, Nigel Dutson, Nick Mottram, Jeremy Rigg and Michael Rimmer - were the architects of a successful equity investment approach at Investec Asset Management, between 2000 and 2004. This approach won backing from major investment consultants and generated strong performance in both UK and Global Equities.
Prior to joining Investec, Mottram, Rimmer, Rigg and Dutson had worked together at Schroders, where collectively they managed over £5 billion for UK pension fund and other institutional clients.
Origin is jointly financed and owned by its working partners and by IPGL Limited (a private investment vehicle in which Michael Spencer, founder of ICAP, is the largest shareholder).
The working partners retain both day-to-day and strategic control of the business.
